Commissioned by the Tennessee All-State Jazz Band, this exciting and well-crafted composition features a light and breezy samba style and some marvelous ensemble writing. A duet for alto and trumpet is featured où the head, aswell as later in the chart for solos. Along the way are creatively designed background figures and a"shout"section that features the drums followed by a solid tutti ensemble statement.
