Binyang For Clarinet And Percussion EDWARDS R.
Clarinette et Instruments Divers Classique
Description :
One of Australia’s best-known composers, Ross Edwards’ distinctive sound world combines shapes and patterns from nature with a variety of musical resources which reflect and celebrate Australia’s cultural diversity. Binyang means “bird” in the now defunct Sydney Aboriginal language. The identity of the bird remains a mistery. The second piece, Interior, remote and mysterious, is an oblique comment on Binyang, starkly in contrast with its joyful melodic outpouring. The percussionist plays Australian Clapping Sticks or claves.
