Albrechtsberger set the Ordinary of the Mass in two forms: with and without instruments. The latter ["alla capella"] does not mean that no instruments were to be used, but that these works are "without independent instrumental parts". The Mass in D major, here published for the first time, is an "alla capella" mass in the above sense.
